What is a Electric Motor & How does it work?
  • Electric Motors convert electrical energy from the grid to mechanical energy.
  • Electric Motors works based on Flemings Left hand rule, i.e when current passing through a wire goes through a magnetic field perpendicular to its direction, the wire through which the current passes experiences a force whose direction is perpendicular to direction of both the current and the magnetic field
  • Electric Motor is coupled to a pump or machine in which the motor is the driver and the pump or machine is the driven.
